Since 1945, Neighborhood House of Milwaukee has been a not-for-profit agency in the settlement house tradition with a diverse clientele, staff, and board that promote the value of human dignity. The organization offers a wide variety of social, educational, and recreational programs including Early Childhood Services, Youth Program, Teen Program, Adult & Family Program, Outdoor/Environmental Education, the International Learning Center and the Milwaukee High School of the Arts Community Learning Center. NH has been incorporated for more than 60 years. It enjoys wide community recognition and support, serving more than 3,000 participants last year. Several families have participated in NH activities for three generations, and many families have continued to participate in NH activities even after they move out of the target area. Parents serve on committees at NH, assist in planning events, and volunteer for a number of activities.
